|
| My domain is in redemption, how to renew?
This rule ONLY applies to .com / .net / .org / .info domain names. This does not apply to any other domain names. The Redemption Grace Period is a thirty (30) day period that begins after your domain name has officially expired. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has required that registries implement this facility to allow the original registrants (domain name holders) to redeem a deleted name. The reason for the introduction of the Redemption Grace Period process is to provide additional time to catch erroneous deletions before the name is made available for re-registration. When a name enters the Redemption Grace Period, it is removed from the zone file (if it was originally in the zone file). As a result, any Internet services served by the domain name will be disabled (e.g. e-mail or a Website). The registrant must act IMMEDIATELY if he or she wants to keep the name. If you wish to redeem a domain name when it has entered the Redemption Grace Period you will need to download the redemption grace period form from here. Fill it in and fax back to Crazy Domains. Please note, the fee to restore a domain name in the Redemption Grace Period is $140. This includes a one year renewal. Once the domain is out of redemption there is approximately
a 5 day delete period and then the domain can be registered
again on a first come first served basis. |

| How do I transfer my domain name?
To transfer your domain name to Crazy Domains, you
must first fill in the transfer form located on the

|
| How long does a domain transfer take?
Transfer may take up to 10 working days depending on the domain extension. You will receive a confirmation email when the transfer has been completed. If you have submitted a transfer and you have NOT received any emails within 24 hours notifying you of domain name renewal acceptance you will need to contact us. It’s more than likely that the transfer confirmation email you must accept has gone to an old email address. |
|
| Where may I obtain my registry key?
Crazy Domains does not actually use ‘Registry Keys’. This is an old term previously used under the ‘TAG’ .uk domain system. Crazy Domains uses a centralised technology of a unique username & password combination associated with your member and all your domains, not just one. This replaces the old 'registry key' system. Your requesting host or web developer will need these details along with our website address to log in. If you don’t want your host or developer to have access to all the domains under your account, you can assign the host or developer as the technical contact of a specific domain. This gives your host or developer access only to that domain, using their own username/password. If you cannot remember your username and password, please email us. |
|
| Where may I obtain my UDAI key?
All .nz domain names ONLY have a UDAI key. A UDAI key is a Unique Domain Authentication Identifier. The UDAI is specific to each domain name and is required only to change the registrar for your domain name. When you register a new domain name the UDAI will be emailed to you. UDAI's are eight characters long and are made up of numbers and letters in both upper and lower case. UDAI's are case sensitive. If you misplaced this login to your domain manager and select your domain name on the general page the UDAI key will have a retrieval option. |
|
| How to obtain your Auth Code password?

|
| How to change the ownership of my domain?
Changing ownership of a domain name is a PERMANENT function. You will not be able to change the ownership back once you have made the change. As you may know, ownership change means to transfer all of the rights and duties of domain names to designated person/corporate. To protect your properties, we do not accept the application of ownership change online by telephone or email. To change the ownership of a domain name, Crazy Domains must reset your domain name license. This effectively means your registration period starts from the day it is reset, any previous registration period will be lost. The fee will thus be the standard cost of new registration or equal value, plus the change of ownership fee.
example. DOLLAR $24.00 .com.au domain + DOLLAR $140 change of ownership fee
We need you to fill in and fax back the following documentation.
